Red Grid Mark Phenomenon: My Experience

During a period of almost exactly two years, I experienced twelve separate instances of a mysterious series of red grid marks on my back.

As far as I know, no one has yet figured out what these are. In the groups that discuss this, users have had medical examinations and labs, and users have explored myriad different explanations, none totally fitting.

I documented mine as follows:

6/22/21 Had no idea this was a thing until my husband noticed these on my back just below my bra line last night. There are also some at my tailbone, larger than this. I've already filled out the survey, but there are no other symptoms or noticeable connections, except that two of my children were having violent dreams of attack the night before last.

10/22/21 My second one. First was earlier in the year and posted here. Appeared since yesterday evening. Vertical over my right side ribs. I have been experiencing liver pain all day, but I have been battling a sluggish liver this year. The pain is new, however. Two nights ago, my son woke to a grey rectangular shape hovering in his room, the third time he's seen that.

3/27/22 Third one. My only out of the ordinary other symptom is significantly more low back pain than usual with a chronic back thing. I just looked at my last set and on that day I had increased liver pain. There may or may not be any connection to these pain experiences, but it's interesting that on two of these days the marks showed up I had more pain than usual. The first and second set of marks both appeared on the 21st of the month. This one appeared sometime between yesterday and today. Location for this one is left side over ribs and just below bra line.

5/17/22 My 4th one (first one not quite a year ago), almost identical placement to the third one, over left side ribs. It's very faint for having not been there the night before.

6/3/22 #5 discovered and photographed 2 days ago. Only interesting thing to note this time around is that this makes the 2nd time a faded set is discovered the night following my husband's overnight work shift, which happens once a week. So 2/5 marks appear to happen on nights he is gone. The frequency seems to be increasing as well. The first one was last year, 6/2021, then 10/21, 3/22, 5/22 and now 6/22. This is mid back just below bra line. All 5 sets have been in this general area; the first one included marks at tailbone as well.

8/20/22 No notes

10/13/22 Darker pattern

First one left side ribs 12/13/22, second one right side ribs 12/21/22. Nothing notable about the patterns but the closest they have ever been together.

1/4/23 No notes

5/3/23 Much larger than normal

6/29/23 Faded, probably the day before and my 12th known mark. First time with some sort of edge pattern. Left side ribs.

I have not seen a case of these marks since that last episode in June of 2023. I have had encounters, experiences, visions, dreams and a largely unusual set of circumstances in the time since, but never again have I seen the grid marks.
