A Dream: Don't Open the Urn!

I have frequent dreams, some about things to come, some integrating things that came before. I don't generally try to interpret them, trusting that the truth unfolds as it will.

This one seems a bit different, as if it is a warning, and not just for me. As such, I have chosen to share it here.

If I were to try to offer a takeaway, it is that this dream represents the core theme I am trying to convey: we must learn to trust our own discernment.

I think the stakes are high, that they make Covid small by comparison.

Make of this what you will, entered as written in my dream journal 5/20/26.

There was an object on the ground in a grassy area on the side of a paved road, like a driveway through a recreation area. It looked like a stone urn and it was sealed shut.

From a pickup came two men to "help" me with it. One was an expert on such things, the other was slightly overweight and nervous.

The expert said confidently, "Remember, it's always __ inside these." I lost the word, but basically a harmless illusion.

As he prepared to pry open the lid with a metal bar, I was afraid, and I walked behind two tall objects. I don't know what they were, they almost seemed like large stone blocks themselves, but they had an industrial feel and were sort of haphazardly placed next to each other.

I second guessed my decision to hide and as I prepared to walk back around to see, there was a sound. I don't recall the sound, but it was short, a burst.

As I rounded the tall objects, I saw the stone urn on the ground, tipped over, its lid to the side. The men had disappeared. They were taken by whatever happened with the urn.

I awoke feeling danger. I prayed in my mind for protection. Kersh, the cat, came over, walked across me and laid down tucked against my stomach. He interacts with my dreams occasionally, so I assume he sensed something. More notably though, he stayed for maybe a minute and then jumped off the bed and left.
